What port does ACXServer and ACX use to communicate. Im thinking about writting a decal plugin version of ACXServer and I will need that information.
Im not at home to see if there is a way to configure the port ACXServer and ACX use to communicate. |

These settings appear to be working on Frostfell:
Location: 005DC4B0
Offset: (NULL)
Heading: 0075E798
Direct mode checked.
Thanks, Zugg.
Those are the settings I'm getting on Solclaim.
The program drops false death markers frequently, but this appears to happen only when I have Decal (latest version) running. Not a major problem for me.
Thanks for the fix! |

Hi I just thought I would add that Trekman's coords posted for Solclaim are working quite well for me too, also on Solclaim.
I have noticed however the the position, (but not the heading), seems to actually be the point of view position. If you zoom out and rotate around the position changes. This might explain the different structures you are seeing at the given addresses.
The other thing I noticed was the I lost tracking when I went further West than 98W on the Caul once I crossed 98W heading back east again the tracking returned. |

Yes, tracking never works beyond 98W. This has always been a limit even when tracking used to work.
Thanks for the comment about the view position. That *definitely* explains the different memory structure. The view position has all sorts of directional cosines stored with it, and the view position has always been somewhat flaky (I've tried to use it before in the past).
That makes me think that they actually removed the old stable character position record so all that is left is the view coordinates. But with this additional info, I might be able to refine things a bit. I just need to go look up some old geometry stuff to see what I can figure out. |

Does anyone play on Harvestgain? I am getting 005FF188 for the location and 0075E798 for the heading. The heading works perfectly, but the location jumps around within a certain distance of where I am actually standing. This is functional, but would be better if the location was stable. Has anyone had better luck?
Thanks! |

Asile, have you tried Trekmans memlocs? For me they are working fine on Harvestgain too.

This may not be related .. but did anyone notice that part of the databases (Worlds) are located on one server (during the recent Turbine server move).. and other worlds/databases are located on another server. This may explain why some Worlds have the same address ... maybe ..?

OO! OO! OO!
Auto Calabration just worked for me for the first time in several years. But not until I ran far away from my allegiance mansion. Which I did because I had previously tried to auto calabrate with a failure, and then I manually calabrated with numbers from this post which finaly connected but had me stuck in a building, so I thought huh? and ran away to try auto again.
So is there something funny about the landblock surrounding houses/mansions that causes Auto to fail? Cause that seems to be where I have always tried to calabrate in the past always getting a failure. Or was it simply putting the "almost working" manual numbers in that got it to connect and auto calabrate correctly?
Or should I run to the nearest casino and give a tug on some one armed bandits? :) |
