Mapper Help |
PLEASE DON'T RESPOND TO THIS TOPIC I POSTED A NEWER ONE THAT IS MORE INDEPTH AND MUD SPECIFIC!!!
Hi, perhaps someone can help me out here. On the mud i play the room description is between a weather Sentence and then is followed by items and mobs in the room.
EXAMPLE
Eastern Edge of Aureliana forest by a beach.
Filling the firmament is a lattice of heavy grey clouds. The mud has become,
here, sand, the land itself rising a few feet, shielded to the west and to the
south by the thick confines of forest. Peaceful it is, here, with only the
sound of the lake and the wind's song as it sings through the nearby trees to
be heard. A runic totem is planted solidly in the ground. A soft quilted
blanket has been neatly laid out on the floor here. A beautiful indigo nightfire butterfly flutters about in the shadows.
You see exits leading north, east, and northwest.
Above the room is broken down like this
Weather string

Room Description

Items and mobs in room

blanket has been neatly laid out on the floor here. A beautiful indigo nightfire butterfly flutters about in the shadows.
Exits
You see exits leading north, east, and northwest.
Now what my mapper does is it includes the weather (which changes day to day mud time) and what is in the room (which also changes) into the description. Both the weather and the mobs/items are printed in green while the description is printed in white. Is there a way to make the mapper ignore just the weather and the mobs without ignoring the rest of the line? Or is there a way for the mapper to only pick up the white room description and magenta exits based on color?
Thanks Babyl

If your mud doesn't word wrap the description then it is easy.
Simply create an ansi trigger that captures from the weather to the exits and then #SUB everything into the order you want. |
