Map OFF not functioning |
I know the mapper is not on the priority list, but can we have the Map OFF functionality back again?
The reason is that after editing the map, the mapper moves much slower and I'd like to have the Map disabled and not following the movements any more. |

In the new mapper, this is done by disabling the current #location object. You can disable it in the settings editor, or I believe you can also use the #T- and #T+ commands with the name of the location (although I haven't tested that yet).
Eventually the Off button in the mapper toolbar will do this for the current location being tracked. You can also just click on the Tracking Location in the lower-left corner of the map window and set it to None so that it doesn't track anything.

Have you reported the details of how to reproduce this yet? I haven't seen this problem. |

The Off button in the mapper toolbar just greys out the map, but the moves are still being tracked.
I use a Macro equivalent for this purpose (i.e. #MENU {Mapper|File|Off}).
Regarding the slower movement of the mapper after the map is edited, I decided not to bother you atm since the mapper is not a priority until the TESSH is launched. |

How are you editing the map? Are you using #TAG triggers, do you use events and stuff to add to the map data, are you pulling something from a database? I just rewrote my map-related scripts and I discovered to my horror that I got about a 2-3x increase in speed simply because I am now using much cleaner code.

Right click on room and edit the exits for example.

Then there's definitely something else causing the slowdown. I do this all the time and there's no sort of persistent slowdown at all.
