Speedwalking problems |
When I run long speedwalks, I always get booted from server. Is there a way to fix this?

Not without a lot more information - is it something CMUD's doing, or something your MUD does because you're speedwalking too fast? Do other people who speedwalk on your MUD have this problem? Do you get this problem on any MUD? How long is long?
It's probably simply that your MUD doesn't like you spamming that many commands at once. If that's the case, either you should use one of the slower walk modes, or stop doing such long walks. |

I can't find very many MateriaMagica user of Cmud but I did correct the problem by using slow walk. It is a little unfortunate that Cmud doesn't have a slow walk reverse option.

You mean to give you a one click ability to go right back to where you started?
Why not just double click on the map again where you want to go? |

I'm not using maps because they don't layer correctely in MM. The speedwalk menu has fast walk, reverse walk, and slow walk, but no slow reverse. It would be nice.

If you record a path and store it, there is a function that can reverse the path. I don't use it myself, so I don't know offhand what it is, but you can find it easily in the documentation.

It's #RETRACE, and that is why I asked if he was using the mapper or not.

Isn't there a way to use "#walk %pathrevers(pathname)" even if you are not using the mapper?
I don't use paths at all but I seem to recall using that helping other people.
Mind that probably isn't the exact syntax.
I'm at work and *gasp* actually working today so don't have time to work this out at the moment. |

It is indeed the right function. I think this will work for what Thimlove wants:
#slow %pathreverse(pathname) |

Yeah, that too. Especially if he wants to slowwalk. If speed isn't an issue #RE pathname also works.
