fly-out windows

Is it possible to remove the fly-out window tabs from the right side of the client with an option or anything?

I often accidentally hover over them (since I have a few buttons close to them) and then the fly-out tabs open, I've tried opening then closing, moving, ... with no succes. I've also noticed considerable slowing of the client due to these tabs opening up, often locking the client up for 4-5 seconds.

you have to uncheck the auto-hide feature from the click menu THEN close it

Click the pin first to keep them open, then click the cross to close them. Once you do that, they'll hide themselves.

They're not actually closed - to bring them back, just click their name on the windows menu. You could also move them somewhere else where you're less likely to trigger them by pinning them open and dragging their title bar. Whichever edge they're docked to is the edge they'll fly into when they're unpinned.

The short answer is yes. You can move them or close them as described in this post.

The reason for the slowdown is the initial load up and display of the Reference window with does take some time.
