Importing old zMUD settings

I have a few things to say about CMUD.

Primarily, there are no(at least none I've seen) ways to import text files. Most of my scripts are text files.

Making the map a fly-out window is a challenge I haven't conquered.

The MUD window itself can't be maximised, so my button layout screws itself over(literally, they're half over each other).

And, there's no easy access to a search function for the settings databases.

Just thought I'd offer my opinion.

Import the text files into zMUD, then export them as .MUD files which can be imported into cMUD.

The map and anything to do with it is the exact same code that is used in ZMud. New CMud code and old ZMud code don't really mix well, and I think Zugg even had to shut off a few aspects of the mapper so that trying to use them doesn't crash CMud.

So no fly-out-window map? Aww. I was looking forward to having it not clutter my screen when I didn't want it.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Not yet anyway. Probably something added in the first half of next year.

It will be getting all the cool stuff, and probably some stuff all its own, but Zugg can only fix so much at a time.

Turns out you can dock the map on the right side of the screen, and then just click the little pin button and it'll auto-hide. Problem with that is, the map doesn't track you if it's auto-hidden. Other problem with the mapper is that #find, essentially, doesn't work.

Yeah, both issues were already reported in the beta forum. Zugg suggested undocking the mapper to avoid problems. Also, have you tried using #FIND {command} instead of just #FIND? (where command is the command you use on your mud, e.g. look) Just an idea.

I import text files via the command line or with the Send button in the CMUD Editor. The command line works best for executing scripts, simply because it parses the entire thing and compiles it as one entity, as opposed to the Editor doing it line by line.
