How to design MUDs for very few active players? |
What sort of features would help make a low-player-count social/rp mud work?
Some spitballed ideas:
persistent chats, like with discord (possibly discord integration)
ways to interact with the environment that can be seen by other players while logged off
interesting NPCs
any thoughts? |

I think designing for a smaller audience in many ways defeats the purpose of why people MUD.
That said, quests would be my goto answer here. Give people some goals that will help them explore and figure out how to get by in your world. |
