zMUD and cMUD crashing on open.

Im running windows vista 64 bit, and both zMUD and cMUD crash when trying to run them
"zMUD has stopped working. Windows is trying to find a solution to the problem"
Tried running as admin and in compatability mode for 95/98/XP but nothing works..
Any suggestions?
(This happened with cMUD, cMUD pro, zMUD and the old zMUD version)
Thankyou
~Stayven.

I would suggest you start off with these general reccomendations.

Beyond that I would suggest you do an uninstall and then delete the folders before attempting a reinstall. Also note that zMUD isn't officially supported on Windows Vista.

For Vista 64 and CMUD you might want to post to the CMUD forum instead of this zMUD forum. I know there are several CMUD users in that forum that are using Vista 64 successfully.

See the Troubleshooting page for more ideas on Vista issues with CMUD.

Also, when installing CMUD on Vista, be sure to select the default %DOCUMENTS% setting when asked for the location of your Data Files. If you try to put your Data Files into the Program Files directory like with WinXP, it won't work.
