Mapping movable entry points

Hi, in our mud, we have objects that wander from room to room - and these objects are effectively gateways to other zones.

Is there any way that I can force the automapper to move me to the new zone when I enter one of these gateways?

I appreciate that this would only solve half the problem, since I would still have no idea which room I would be in when I return from the gateway - but it would be a good start.

Perhaps this is a use of your portal feature - but I can't figure it out :)

Any help would be appreciated...

The portal feature is for abilities that move you from any room to one particular room. You might find it useful.

The other command you could try is #teleport, which will move you to a particular room. You could use a trigger on whatever "you enter the portal" text you recieve to move you into a particular room. If you want to get fancy, you could build a database of rooms that you've portalled from (perhaps only that session if the portals move often) and the rooms that the portals go to.

To find yourself when the mapper's lost you, use #find.
