[2.13] Minimize to tray |
The minimize to tray option seems to have vanished. If I right click on the title bar I only have these extra items in the menu: Rollup, Stay on Top, Transparency. Where did the mininimze to tray item go?

I seem to remember a thread saying it was causing problems for some people, so it was removed. Have a search.

It actually turns out the theme support is bugged. The minimize to tray option is not shown when using the "Normal", "No theme", "Flat", or "Office XP" theme . When using other themes it is shown though. |

There is no change log entry that the tray feature has been removed. |

You're probably correct. I was in a hurry so I didn't read it into context properly . |

The "Minimize to tray" option is part of the theming system, and you only get the theming system enabled when you select one of the named themes below the OfficeXP theme. The top couple of "themes" only change the color scheme and internal controls and are not true "themes/skins" (they do not modify the window borders).
Anyway, the StayOnTop and Rollup features were easy to add outside of the Theme system, so they appear on all windows. But the Minimize to Tray option was harder to port, so it is only available within themes that actually change the window borders.
When the theme system is removed in January, the current Minimize to Tray option will disappear. But there are some new controls within Delphi 2007 that should allow me to add this feature to normal windows at that time. |
