intermud variables

ive noticed something, I mas using a variable from another mud to help me track something i was working on while in another game
#STAT @MudName.Variable
It works so long as the other mud is currently up and running, if not it seems to default to null

The Problem is?
If the mud is working you get the info
if the mud is disconnected you don't get info
if @mudname.var="" {yes} {no}
yes bieng do something
no being what ecer it is that was working for you

If you can't access it, how do you know it is null?[:o)]

If you're just tracking the variable and want to know how it's behaving, write the value and time stamp to a text file by using a repeating alarm.
