Converting ASCII map
 
I'm trying to use Zmud 6.16 mapper to map a Mud called Ancient Anguish. I've found a text map of the terrain at http://www.republicofnewhome.org/lair/anguish/myaamap.html

How can this be read into Zmud's automapper?

You have to figure out what the legend usually looks like for room name, description
and exits:


Map Legend:
:: deserts, beach oo light forest OO forest 88 thicket, bushes
^^ hills / mountains xx rocky desert XX barren, rugged
== sea, lake -- swamp, marsh ## settlement [] fortified village
# building + path, sign ~~ stream, river @ dungeon, cave
Y open-air areas " grasslands ** icecap, glacier | bridge, ford

and H= =H

How does the odd mixing of symbols work? 88 vs Y8. Does a OO represent
one forest room or two?

How does movement work when you are in the wilderness? Show moving from one room to
another.

Based on that, it would be easy to make a "zone" that would reflect that map.

The map your looking at is not realy to scale it just gives a rough overview of AA. Create a rogue char and use sneak to map it ,have the outlands as a main map and all the important areas as zones.
