Window tiling options in CMUD |
I'm a fairly long time user of ZMUD, and one of the things I have become accustom to (and really like) is the Window Tiling in ZMud where I can set it to none. This way, I can have the MUD output window take up the full screen and have the menus and such appear when I move my mouse to the top of the screen. However, I haven't seen/found anyway to do this yet in CMUD. Is there anyway that I'm able to do this? Thanks.

Aye, I loved the layout setting. I liked to have the mud window full screen with the tool bar set to pop up when you moved the mouse to the top of the screen. Playing around with for a few hours and I've found this is impossible with cMud.. will it be become possible in future updates?

Oooh! I didn't realise that was possible in zMUD.

For now this is the nearest you can get.

Doesn't look terribly pretty. The toolbar can be made less high though.

Actually, you can also unselect the Show Caption option in the Layout menu and it will get rid of the docked window caption, giving even more room.
Guys, I know CMUD is *different*. You just need to learn the new user interface. With all of the docking possibilities in CMUD, there was no way to do the simplistic "Tile Options" that zMUD had. You need to drag your windows around the way you want, move your toolbars around, etc. But CMUD will automatically save all of this with your session, so you only have to do it once. Try exploring the new interface...it does a lot more than you might think. |

Now that is cool!!! Who uses much of the right hand side of the screen for actual mud text, not many people since a lot of MUDs format lines to 80 characters.

Indeed. Anyway to make the text horizontal on the toolbar and menu when they are rotated? If there was, I'd suggest making that one of the official screenshots for CMUD.

Yes, it is possible for me to add an option to rotate the text. Although I'm not sure it will look as good as you think it will, because it will make the toolbar as wide as the widest text string. But I'll look into it.
