Regarding the DNS issue mentionned in that thread: there was a DNS problem with *.zuggsoft.com on Saturday. I couldn't connect either and I checked with www.dnsstuff.com and the search went from the root name servers to wolfpaw.net, which obviously had lost it's DNS records for zuggsoft.com and was forwarding the request back to the root name servers.

I've contacted WolfPaw to see what happened over the weekend. Since I wasn't around to check it, I don't know what was happening. But thanks for making me aware of the problem. Also, thanks for posting the TMC link. It's always good to see what other people are posting about CMUD.

Wed Sep 27 02:09:18 2006 [dead_souls] Tigwyk@LP Heroes: I guess the "old free" zMud I'm thinking of was the one I'd cracked. ;)
Wed Sep 27 02:09:24 2006 [dead_souls] Cratylus@Dead Souls Demo: heh
Wed Sep 27 02:09:24 2006 [dead_souls] Faylen@Infinite Lands: Hi Thecreator
Wed Sep 27 02:09:26 2006 [dead_souls] Tigwyk@LP Heroes whistles innocently.
Wed Sep 27 02:09:34 2006 [dead_souls] Tigwyk@LP Heroes bought zMud eventually, so it's all good.
Wed Sep 27 02:09:50 2006 [dead_souls] Tigwyk@LP Heroes: Lark, I seriously recommend investing in zMud, or even CMud now that it's coming out. zMud made my mudding life so much easier.
Wed Sep 27 02:10:02 2006 [dead_souls] Faylen@Infinite Lands agrees
Wed Sep 27 02:10:04 2006 [dead_souls] Lark@Ultimate Galaxy: CMud?
Wed Sep 27 02:10:30 2006 [dead_souls] Tigwyk@LP Heroes: CMud is Chiara's Mud Client, made by Zugg but it's like... the ultimate client, supposedly. I've played with it, it's neato. It's like, the next generation of zMud.
Wed Sep 27 02:10:32 2006 [dead_souls] Thecreator@unlimited horizons: faylen?
Wed Sep 27 02:10:44 2006 [dead_souls] Thecreator@unlimited horizons: there is a way to make zmud availabel with jaws?
Wed Sep 27 02:11:04 2006 [dead_souls] Faylen@Infinite Lands: I have version 4.62 working. Never had any success with later versions though
Wed Sep 27 02:11:20 2006 [dead_souls] Thecreator@unlimited horizons: ah. wonder if I can dl the old ver.
Wed Sep 27 02:11:28 2006 [dead_souls] Lark@Ultimate Galaxy: Hmm...oh, uh, has anyone played with that DoN client?
Wed Sep 27 02:11:46 2006 [dead_souls] Faylen@Infinite Lands: TC, send me a tell with your email and I'll see if I can find my old zip of it

Zugg, for your information, Thecreator in the above log is a blind mudder. He and Tigwyk are on the same mud as I am. I was the one that convinced Tigwyk to go out and buy zMud

*ahem*
Yes, Ichthus brib-- er.. convinced me to go buy zMud, and I must say it's been the best damn MUD client I've ever used. The amount of features, the support, the plugins, the maps... It's wonderful.
I want to personally thank you, Zugg, for your fine product. CMud's pretty cool, too. ;) |
