[1.08] Cannot connect to Materia Magica |
Okay, I'm not sure what happened, but I upgraded to 1.08 from 1.07 and cannot connect to this particular MUD anymore. I tried removing the existing icon under my Connections window and created a new one, but it still crashes out of the program when I try to connect.
I can connect to my ther MUDs just fine, and I was able to connect to MM fine with 1.07. Any ideas? |

I can connect to Materia Magica using CMUD 1.08 and the default session Icon that was downloaded when I first ran 1.08.
So, I think it must be something to do with the upgrade. I did a clean install to a new folder for 1.08. I suggest you uninstall, delete your CMUD folder (backup anything you want to keep) and re-install. |

Open your session offline and go into the Settings Editor and click on the main window object for your session. Check to make sure the network connection option is set to "Use main session network connection"

yeah mm is working fine.. its one of the things i try to give zugg info on to keep his product working with it. As its still in beta chances are either
A.) you didnt set it to use main session
B.) Error in conversion which might need to be identified.
C.) Check some of your more specific settings relating to MXP. There was a bug in the 1.0 version of cmud that did that type of thing and i had to send zugg my overly complex mud file to work with.
D.) Your autolog script has been adjusted by you to include a crashing setting. i.e. using an alias in there that crashes. I had this happen when testing out one of my autoconnect aliases to adjust summoning off etc when i connect. However that has all been working for me for a while
Hope it works for you |

I followed what Zugg suggested, opened the session offline and went into the options. There was already a check mark next to using it in the main session. So I told it to Reconnect, and I was able to connect just fine.... but this is the only way I can connect. I have to open it offline and Reconnect. If I double-click on the session from the session window, it crashes out. Interesting...
Well, I see 1.09 is out. I'll upgrade and see what happens. Worse case scenario, I'll reinstall. As far as I know, I did not create any aliases or special content for that session. All I had done was changed the size of the meters on the screen for HP, SP and Stamina... |

hmmm.
Upgrade to 1.09 fixed the problem. I didn't make any other changes.
I'll read over the changelog to see where a change might have been related. |
