[1.08] Layout and Settings

I may have corrupted my session settings or my CMUD install but I'm running into a problem Tool Bar Layout (top, left, right Bottom) are getting reset after each session.

I'm going to try creating a new session. If it helps I can send the current .pkg and I've submitted the bug reports, maybe they can help sort out what's happened.

Anyone else exprience this?

Make sure you have the Use Layout option enabled for your session (Edit/Files session tab). It should be saving the toolbars to a *.TBZ file in the same directory as your *.PKG settings (along with the *.XLY window layout file). You can try deleting the existing TBZ file in your character directory and see if it gets recreated. And then check to see if it gets saved (the modified time gets updated) when you exit CMUD.

You might try exiting CMUD different ways to see if that's causing the problem with not saving the toolbar file. Unlike the character settings which are saved to disk in the background, the TBZ and XLY files are only saved when a session is closed.

If it still doesn't work, you can send me your *.PKG, XLY and TBZ files and I'll try it here.

Also, now that I re-read your post, are you talking about the menu and toolbars or are you talking about the button bar created with #BUTTON commands?

I was really talking about the four possible Button Bars.. but I'll try what you said. And re-post.

I did as you reccomended and deleted the .XLY and .TBZ files and recreated them and things seemed to work fine.

I did notice a strange quirk when I connected to the MUD all my aliases, triggers etc disappeared and seemed to be replaced with one of the variables DRoll. I'll try again and post more.
