Don't bother uploading to pkg library with 1.05 |
I was testing the shared package library stuff and confirmed that the 1.05 version doesn't work with the package library at all.
When you use the Send to Library button to send your package to the library, it doesn't actually upload *anything*. I've seen a couple of people try to load a useful package into the library, but it just ends up being blank.
I'm probably going to wipe the package library when 1.06 is released, and I'll have this stuff working in 1.06.
Just wanted to give a heads-up so that people didn't waste too much time making packages to upload yet.
Once 1.06 is released on Monday, then people will hopefully be able to go ahead and start loading *real* packages into the shared library.
Btw, feel free to post to this thread with any suggestions on improving the package library interface. |

Package library should be fixed in 1.06. I didn't have to remove anything in the library yet, but if you uploaded a package using 1.05 then it has blank data in it. But you should be able to select your package in the package library, then Edit/Edit Package and then re-upload it to get the proper data sent to the library.
Oh yeah...Taz: just for you, I added the option to save your name/password info! The info is encrypted in the ini file so it's pretty safe. |
