[1.05] Variable Default Value Crash
 
Any attempt to add/edit a default value in a variable via the gui causes a crash.

If you have sent a bug report within CMUD, then there is no need to post to the forums unless you are looking for further discussion.

However if we don't post it here how are we supposed to know it has already been reported?

Well, you don't. That's a good point. But I don't mind getting duplicate bug reports via the automatted system. In fact, getting duplicate reports helps me determine the priority of a bug fix.

For the most part, only large and difficult bugs are reported to the forums, such as the multi-session issues. So you can find out about known "big" problems by reading the forums.

But in general, if you get a crash, always report it via the automatted Send Bug button, but don't bother posting it to this forum unless you think it's a really critical issue.

Or, think of it this way: If you think something needs public discussion, then post it to the Forums. Otherwise the automatted bug report is enough.
