[1.05] Character File Location Crash |
1st bug
Open cMud
select your favourite mud Icon.
click Edit Session
click the Files tab
Leave the file location box empty.
Click browse.
cMud Crashes
2nd bug
Open cMud
select your favourite mud Icon.
click Edit Session
click the Files tab
Go into windows explorer and place a .mud file inside a folder located inside the cMud directory corresponding to your mud. Achaea for example.
Save your settings.
Click browse.
cMud does not Crash
Browse to a location outside the cMud directory
Place a copy of the folder you put your .mud file in anywhere outside the default cMud directory.
Save changes.
Edit session
Click the files tab
The path is still in the box but it is not accurate.
Click browse
You are inside the root of the cMud directory.

In general, you should not move files and folders that are within your CMUD or zMUD directories from outside of CMUD/zMUD. CMUD/zMUD expects to find your character files within subdirectories named for your session, and it's very easy to confuse it and mess it up if you start moving files and folders like this.
