Missing pages.

When i use the forum search option (upper right of the page) I am frequently finding posts that no longer exsist (due to forum restructuring and deleted subsections, ect.).

Is there either, a way to remove these postd from being found, or a way to actually display the whole post even though the folders that held them are gone?

Can you post a specific URL example that isn't working? We haven't restructured or deleted any forum subsections that I'm aware of, so I don't know why the links wouldn't be working.

Ahh, OK, I see the issue. The problem is that the zMUD Beta Forum is currently locked and it isn't allowing normal users to access it. The link worked for me, but I think it's because I have admin access to the forums. When I get a chance I'll look into this and see if I can keep the forum locked without preventing reading old posts.

It doesn't matter whether or not you had access to the beta forum. Since there are no beta versions of zMUD, the entire beta forum is closed. So only Gurus and admins can get in. Apparently in PHPBB when a forum is locked, normal users can't get in even if they are part of the original access group. As I said, it's something I'll look into but right now I need to work on CMUD.

I have changed the permissions on the zMUD Beta forum so that anyone logged into the forum should have read access. So when you get the list of search matches, give it another try and see if it works now.

Hmm, ok, give it another try. Also, let me know if the Beta Forum shows up in the list of forums that you get when you click the Forums button at the top of the site.

Hmm, not sure what else to try. I unlocked the forum (but set the View permission so that it wouldn't show up in the main list...so at least that seems to work). But the Read permission is set to anyone registered and logged into the forum system, so I don't know why it doesn't let you read it.

Maybe one of the Gurus, or someone who is an expert on PHPBB permissions will have an idea on this. I've tried all I can think of. Sorry it didn't work.
