zMud creates a folder Autolog in the root with the user/password prompts. You probably have 2 triggers there.

It may be hidden and you may have to:
view->Show Hidden

What do you mean exactly by double pasting?

When you control-c control-v into the command line it shows up twice?

http://www.google.ca/search?hl=fr&q=richtextbox+%22double+paste%22&meta=
Google hints that it probably a problem with your RichTextBox.

http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Programming_Languages/Visual_Basic/Q_10174975.html
This double-pasting problem does not exist for the regular TextBox control. I can show ctrl-V in the menu, and it will not double paste. This problem is specific to the RichTextBox, and maybe only for VB5.
..
I thought that maybe someone else had this problem, and there was a way to fix it, like an updated msvbvm50.dll, or some property I had overlooked. I know the VB5.0 RichTextBox control had other problems, like weird scrollbars, that were fixed by the VS_SP3 update.

So maybe update your computer to the latest updates and/or see if you can update that VB(?) dll.

VB? How does that relate to ZMud, it being developed in Delphi 5? Are they sharing infrastructure or something?

Yes. Btw, this only Zmud only problem.

I'm still hanging my hat on your RICHED20.DLL.

I have Win XP pro.
c:\windows\system32
riched20.dll 5.30.23.1221
riched32.dll 5.1.2600.0

For kicks what are your versions?

I personally have never seen the double paste issue, but have seen numerous mentions of it since the changes in zMud to use the spell checker in the command line. I have to support Ton's opinion on this, it is an issue with specific versions of the RichEdit dll that is supplied by MS. Please take the time to look into it.
