Connectivity Bug? |
Usually when any new program tries to connect to the internet, my Internet Security Suite - Trend Micro's Pc-cillin - asks me to allow the connection or not. This happened when I moved my zmud to my new laptop. I got a pop-up window asking me to allow Zmud access to the internet.
When trying out Cmud however, that window never came up. When trying to connect to one of my usual muds Cmud told me it couldn't find the host... it couldn't find any of them. So I shut down my internet security software and then I could connect. As I tend to surf and check emails while in muds, I'd prefer not to have to shut that down every time I mud. I'm not sure why Cmud doesn't trip the security suite to ask me for permission to connect like every other program I use does? Trillian, Filezilla, Putty, ect... |

You may have accidentally given it a blocked status at some point. Check to see if your security suite has a list of blocked applications and see if CMud is in that list. If so, remove it and it should be fine. If not, then see if there is a way to manually set an application as allowed.

i have this security suite on one of my composite test machines and it prompted me. Chances are either it didnt fit your profile of "Questionable Programs" or you blocked it at some point by accident
