Speedwalks - mud only responds 1st command

When I speedwalk rather long paths, for some reason the mud I play telnet://sneezy.saw.net:7900 is only responding to the first command, ignoring the ones after it. The commands are being sent to the mud, but after it processes the first room, it stalls and I can't input anything else.

This started happening out of the blue, and it's not the mud's issue, as in another computer where i installed Zmud 7.21 with the same map and configurations it worked fine.

I have tried uninstalling and installing zmud in a diff folder, with a brand new map and configurations, but still no dice.

Any ideas would be appreciated :)

During the walk, once it stops try doing #OK and see what happens

sounds like you have it set to do normal walking. (room checks)

Try fast walking if its sending them too fast split the speedwalks or create a walking timer.

I've also encountered a problem similar to this, it seems as though it's not sending the dirs to the mud.
When I use #WALK it highlights the path, warns me if it's too long, and then simply returns my prompt.
No movement at all.
I tried all the different walk settings (slow, careful, fast) and also using #OK.
Any other ideas?

just to update this:

zmud sends the commands, but only the first direction is followed.. then it's as if i get locked out: i see stuff happening but the mud won't take any of my commands.

As I said on the previous post, I have the same mapper and zmud version installed on a different machine and it works fine. Other people have zmud and they can speedwalk with no restrictions. I thought it could have been a problem with windows but I had my hd formatted and reinstalled from scratch, still nothing.

I dunno what to make of this.

help? :)

Hmm, I think I had similar problems earlier, when my direction thingies had poofed or something.

Got an alt or backup settings file you could try to compare with (and possibly restore from)?

Check system/directions and system/directionsdiag. I'm not sure I could see any problems there earlier, but you could try just copying in them over the new ones, from a working settings file.

I have gotten an immortal to see what happens on the mud side, only the first direction is actually sent to the mud, even tho zmud seems to send all the commands. So i guess what happens is that zmud waits for the mud response, but since the mud only actually received one command i get stalled there.

ideas? *please*

#DEBUG texta.txt textb.txt

Run your speed walk

#DEBUG

Then go look at the text files in your zMud file. That will show you the stream sent/received.

Thanks for the help, but it didn't show me anything I didn't already know. Zmud sends all the directions, but the mud in only receiving the first one.

This is bugging the hell outta me! I don't use a firewall, but I am thinking there has to be something filtering Zmud somehow.

I'm still looking for what it could be.

Try upgrading your Network card. They have been famous in the past for muddling up streams.
