Zugg's Vacation Schedule |
I'd *really* like to stick around to help people with issues in the CMUD beta. But I've been working non-stop for many many many months just to release the first CMUD beta, and I'm really burned out right now.
So, I plan to take a couple of weeks off and try to recover from all of the stress and long hours.
This doesn't mean that your bug reports will be ignored. Any bug reports sent to our database using the new crash reporting or Feedback options will be sitting in our database waiting for me to come back to work.
I expect that I will have a *lot* of crash reports to read. Don't expect to get a reponse to every crash report that you send. Since this is the first 1.0 beta, I expect to be flooded with reports.
Hopefully you will be able to use the CMUD Beta Forum to discuss problems and issues amougst yourselves. I will probably monitor the forums during the first day of the release, but once I'm on vacation, Chiara is going to lock the door to the office so that I won't be able to work.
So, you will be mostly on your own for a couple of weeks. Remember that you can still use your existing zMUD client. If CMUD works for your normal MUDding, that's great, but I'm not expecting it. But I hope you can use CMUD as much as possible and report all of the problems so that it can be quickly improved once I return from vacation.
Once I'm back from vacation in early July, I plan to release an update to CMUD to fix the major problems. Then I will start working on the SSH addon.
Thanks for all of your support. I hope you like what you see with CMUD so far. |

As Zugg's Administrative Assistant, I am hereby administratively deciding that he is still on vacation. It took the whole first week to get him to stop checking the forums and reading his email, not to mention talking about CMUD all the time.
Since the July 4th weekend is generally a long weekend holiday here in the States, Zugg will officially return to work Wenesday July 5th.
It will be worth it. Just wait until you see the new and improved Zugg! |

*tsk tsk* he needs his bum kicking, I can't believe he kept checking the forum and reading his email. I'll let him off talking about it I think that is natural after working on something for so long.
I'm glad you're enforcing the correct amount of holiday time on him though, good on you. |

Great job Chiara. He needs it, and we can all wait for a fair number of the bug fixes to move on with the beta process. Just let him do only what is needed by him for current zMud users support issues, and slap him around if he tries to do more.

I'm back! As expected, I've got a *lot* of email and forum posts to catch up on. I'll probably be replying to a lot of forum posts that are a couple of weeks old to get more information about problems with CMUD.
Thanks for your patience and understanding while we were on vacation. I know it was hard discussing CMUD knowing that I wasn't going to read your post for a while. But the long vacation was really helpful for restoring a more healthy mental state so that I now fix CMUD and make it into the great program that everyone wants. |

Welcome back! I can't wait for your next release of cMud, especially if it fixes the trigger problem.
