information from favorites list |
i'm trying to make an alias that will cover all my shops i have marked in my favorites list so i can essentially do a command like: 'fred 1' that will go to fred's shop and sell everything in bag 1. it would be an easy alias to make, all i need is somehow to locate the room associated with a particular favorite.

If you have built a map with the zMUD mapper, give the key rooms unique short names (Other tab in Room Properties) and then you can use #WALK (name) to get to each of them. Works great for me.

Also you can look a script I posted to the Finished Scripts forum a few months ago. It enables the use of a single short command to walk to destinations based on a best word match type of thing. The working options were nearest room in another zone, and nearest room with an ID match (excluding current room). So I can do 'walk herb' get my business done there and then just 'walk herb' again to visit the next closest. Possibly it would give you some ideas on how to build what you want.
