software key...any suggestions from mediator or ANYone?

I purchased Zmud about a month ago and was told that I could use my key code both at work and at home. Problem is...I'm not at home with time to use it but maybe twice a week. And in this case I was out of town for a while. When I got home and plugged the key into the trial version it said my key had expired. What really bothers me is that nothing on this website anywhere said that a key expires after a given time. Neither did it say anything in the e-mail I got confirming purchase when they sent the original key. Now I'm stuck at home and can't use the software.
I tried sending a feedback form 2 days ago and nobody responds. I thought maybe someone here might have a suggestion about how to contact the people in charge of selling the software. It's tremendously frustrating to try to do things the right and legal way only to have problems be ignored once they have your money.
I feel it's only fair to be sent a key to activate my home software since there were no warnings about time limits but I have no way to talk to anyone there and, again, my feedback goes unanswered.
Can anyone give me a way to get in touch with these people on the phone or can some mediator please try to help me get an answer? Plus, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi BLS,
The registration says that the key is only valid for 7 days otherwise you will need to get it resent. To do so, you simply log back into the Zuggsoft store, go to history and there should be a link to have the reg code sent to you again.
As for the support form, Zugg and Chiara are usually very good at that (most of my responses have been under 4 hours.) Unfortunately in that respect timing was against you. Zugg just released a CMUD beta after 9 months of development and they both recently took a much deserved vacation. They are due back next Monday.
I'm sorry that you had a rough start, but I sure you'll come to learn their support is exemplerary. |

I understand where you're coming from - that IS frustrating - and almost unheard-of at Zugg Software.
If you have any problems between now and Mondy, please post here. Usually you'll get a response very quickly. Let us know if you were able to get your registration number resent. |

CMUD is licensed to a single user. You may install CMUD on multiple computers as long as these computers belong to you, and as long as only one copy of CMUD is ever in use at any given time.
Your license key can only be used to unlock the trial version of CMUD within seven days of purchase. After seven days, your license key will no longer work. This is done to prevent license keys from being posted to the Internet for illegal use. If you need your license key after this seven day period, go to the Zugg Software Store at https://www.zuggsoft.com/store and log in using your e-mail address and the password that was e-mailed to you along with your original license key. Then select your order from the order history and click the Retrieve License Key button and a new license key will be e-mailed to you.
There is a limit on how often you can retrieve a new license key to avoid fraud and abuse. You can only retrieve a new license once every month, and never within seven days of the previous retrieval.
Your license key is tied to both your name and e-mail address. Anyone using your license key will see your full name in the Help/About box for CMUD. Also, any license keys illegally posted to the Internet can be tracked back to the original purchaser. Sharing your license key with other people is a violation of international copyright law and will be prosecuted. Violation of this licensing agreement will prevent you from upgrading CMUD in the future and potentially prevent you from using any other Zugg Software products.
