zmud mapping query. |
hiya, i have a problem with zmud's mapper.
i'm in this area with alot of diagonal exits (ne,sw etc). so i start configuring my mapper, then i move N to a room (ROOM no. 1) with (n,s,nw,ne,sw,se), then i move again N to a room (ROOM no. 2) with (n,s,nw,ne,sw,se).
Logically, nw from room 1 would link with sw from room 2. yet when i move nw and sw respectively, they do not link to the same room. It shows that the links are too short, and it creates a new room. I have to delete the new room and drag the link to the other room.
am i doing something wrong?
thanks!

If your MUD doesn't have all rooms at perfect distances and directions, you will have to drag links manually and sometimes move rooms and merge them. Merging stacked rooms is a nice, easy way to fix things like this without having to delete a room, reconnect the exits, and maybe reload the description. Just take the duplicate room, drag it on top of the original "copy" of that room, right-click it, and select "Merge stacked rooms."
