Trouble with keeping triggers separate |
With the newer versions of zMUD I've been having trouble keeping triggers for one character separate from the others on the same mud.
Before it just worked, now when I create triggers, zMUD tries to apply those trigger sets to every other character in the database that connects to the same mud.
I don't get all into the complicated things with scripting and whatnot, these are just simple eat/drink/spellup and questing triggers that are different for the various characters.
Did something change from the 6 series to the 7 series of zMUD where I would have to store each separate trigger set into some subfolder or something to keep them apart for each character?
Grateful for any direction on how to remedy this annoyance. |

1. In the character selection window click one of the characters you wish to have its own settings.
2. Select Edit.
3. In the new frame that opens go to the Files tab.
4. The filename in the Primary text box stores such things as triggers, aliases, and buttons.
The "sub path" is where data such as maps, and databases are stored. You probably just want to enter a new filename for the primary settings file.
Good luck :) |

This actually comes from changes in the version 6 series or earlier, I believe. What happens is that ZMud uses a default filename based on the session ID of that character. This gives the autosave feature a name to use so you don't have to remember to save.
