cMud Proxy/SSL - tie it to each character? |
Minor feature but it would be nice if each settings file could be set to a different proxy.
Currently I use another program to redirect/tunnel local ports to remote servers. I just tried to see if I could open 2 characters and point them to different proxies and it appears when I change 1 the other changes as well.
Not sure how many people use zMud for remote shell work. |

Correct. In zMUD the proxy settings are "global". In CMUD you will eventually be able to change this on a character-by-character basis, and it will be a lot easier to determine what settings are global and what settings are character-specific.
Also, "packages" can add their own settings and preferences. And packages can change both global and character-specific settings. So you could, for example, create a simple package for each of your proxy settings and then just have each character load a different package. |

Beautiful! Didnčt see the option with the packages but that illumniated me.
Found a way in zMud that I can use the proxy & log in #1. Then set it for another proxy and log in #2.
Works but I cant autoconnect as the profiles are different. |

Perhaps allow character personalized connection response settings as well.

If I understand Zugg correctly, the package model will allow you to override ANY setting on a per-character basis, by having characters load different sets of packages.
