need help installing on multiple computers |
Hey, sorry to bother y'all with this, it should be easy, but I just need a little help.
I bought zMud when I was using a Win98 machine. I still have that machine, and it has an updated copy of the software with a new license and everything.
Just got an XP box and would like to use the same license on this new machine. I read you can use it on up to 3 computers.
I just need some help figuring out how to get the license/reg number so when I am prompted to do that on the XP machine when I install the software, I can associate the new machine with my already-purchased license.
Thanks in advance, Melissa |

Ok, I'm guessing you decided to upgrade to a non-elicense version and have already gotten the email with your registration code. If that is the case when you upgraded, then your Zuggstore information was transferred without problem. Since you need a new license, simply log into the store and find the button that sends you a new one. It will send it to your email address and you have 7 days to activate it. Once activated, you don't have to worry about relicensing and all that jazz until you need to change computers again or need to reformat your hard-drive containing ZMud. However, if you let that 7 days go by without using the license it no longer will work and you need to get another one.

First I upgraded my software and updated the e-license on my Win98 machine. I got an email with a license key for that. So I used that license key on my 98 machine.
Then I installed a trial version on the XP machine and figured I could just enter the license key on there. I forgot about it being in the email, so I was mainly asking how to find the key in the 98 version so I could write it down and then enter it on the XP machine. Now I see I could just copy it from the email.
If I'm understanding it all correctly, I could have used the same license key on up to 3 machines. Of course more than 7 days has passed, so I have to go get a new one, but now I know what to do.
Sorry to bother you with something so basic, and thanks for answering me so patiently!
