Using zMud on a new PC |
Hi there. I've just bought a new PC and obviously want to install zMud onto it.
I'm a registered user, but can't find anywhere on the old PC where it tells me my registration code.
What do people do in this situation?
The license says you can use zMud on more than one computer... |

Thanks for that, but I think I've had 2 or 3 different e-mail addresses since I first bought z-mud. I can't recall which was the one I had at the time, but certainly I'm no longer with that 'dial-up' ISP. As for still having the e-mail from when I first registered... hahahaha... I'll have a look tomorrow. I'll pay again if I can find no other way, but it's the aliases/triggers/paths etc I don't want to have to replace....

If it's the alias/triggers/paths etc your worried about you can copy those from you old copy of zMud. For each mud you play there should be a corresponding folder in the zMud directory that contains all of this data. Copy that and you should be fine.
As for tracking down the old reg code, an email to Zugg via support could probably help as well, I had the issue once a while back and he was able to get me the info. Although I'm sure he prefer the new sale instead. As a bonus it gets access to the "zMudXP" product due out soon. |

Thanks for that. I'll see how I go. I had copied the Dominia Mud folder over but it didn't give me all my aliases. I might have to play with it a bit. (I only play the one mud)
