I know nothing about database's

Hello,

I am trying to create a database for all of the things that i identify. I am wondering if i can make it using triggers, such that when i identify something this pops up(or something like this)

You recite a scroll of object identify which dissolves.
You feel informed:
Object '@====|>>>>SoulStrike>>>>>>>>>', Item type: WEAPON
Item is: GLOW HUM !LOCATE !CHAOS !JUSTICE
Weight: 0, Value: 0, Rent: 0
Min Level: 50
Damage Dice is '8D8' for an average per-round damage of 36.0.
Can affect you as :
Affects: DAMROLL By 4
Affects: MAXHIT By 50
Affects: STR By -1
Affects: DEX By -1

I would like to trigger off of the line either:
A. You recite a scroll of object identify which dissolves.
or
B. You feel informed:

I would like for the program to create something new in the DB under a class of identified items. Object would be the title of the database information, and then pretty much everything else would be in the database

I want to be able to access this information easily, by either clicking on the DB button and just clicking on the item name, or however it works.

I think thats all

Please forgive grammar and mispellings

Love, peace, and chicken grease

I sure do miss the days when you could post a question on these boards and get a legitimate responce within hours if not minutes... where'd everyone go?

This topic has been extensively covered in other threads.
The following links should explain what you've asked.

Howto create an item database and use it: (follow the links at the bottom of the page also)
http://forums.zuggsoft.com/modules/mx_kb/kb.php?page=3&mode=doc&k=115

Howto use a recall scroll to input an item into the database:
http://forums.zuggsoft.com/modules/mx_kb/kb.php?page=3&mode=doc&k=129

Also, try doing a search for "auto database" and "item database". This will give you more examples as well.
