Speedwalking and Objects |
I use speedwalking all the time, and for the most part it works fine. There is one little pet peeve I have though.
I have speedwalking set to SAFE. There is one long path in Lusternia where there are cows. Every once in a while while traveling the path, you will bump into one. Then you have to wait for a few seconds to regain balance before moving.
The problem is that when this is happening, the commands for speed walking continue to happen. How can I get the speedwalking to pause until balance is regained, then continue on the path? The directions from that point on are incorrect.
Here is some of the prompt when this happens:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ackleberry Highway. (road).
The bright sun shines down, blanketing you with its life-giving warmth. You see
exits leading southeast and northwest.

Not sure how to do this one, but I think you might want to put a couple of triggers like:
#TRIGGER {You bump into a cow as it wanders aimlessly in a circle.} {#pause}
#TRIGGER {You have recovered balance on all limbs.} {#step}
Not sure... could be wrong, but I used to use something like that in another mud I play. Hope it works for you, or someone else gives a better suggestion.
