Materia Magica automap configuration?

I've tried a lot of differnet things. but the best I seem to be able to do id to map a room that I do autoconfigureation in. If anyone has figured out how to make the automap work in Materia Magica, I would appreciate the help.

Here's a screen shot of a room, if you are not familiar with Materia Magica:

<457hp 386sp 451st> east

Main Street - N -
(-------------------------------------------------) W <---(M)---> E
- S -

You are walking along Main Street in the Towne of Rune. The warm, red
cobblestones vibrate delightfully beneath your feet, almost as if the towne
were alive. From the north, you can hear the clang of the Blacksmith about
his work. You hear the sounds of revelry coming from the Laughing Fey to
the south. You can see the paved brilliance of the Towne Square to the
west. Main Street continues to the east.
A beautiful woman is standing here, admiring herself in a hand mirror.
Thanak the fey doorman is here, guarding the entrance to the Laughing Fey.
Raksann the Captain of the City Guards is here, patrolling the streets.

<457hp 386sp 461st>

Since this is not a fixed font, it may not be obvious theat the compas has 8 directions, plus up and down. There are ASCII color codes imbedded to give information about the adjacent rooms.

Start by turning off the compass with the internal mud command SET COMPASS and turning on the exits with SET SHOW-EXITS. This will format the room description to something that the autoconfig in the mapper can read. It is not perfect but it is simple. Smile
