Number pad uses? |
The fact that the number pad automatically uses NSEW is totally, viciously annoying. As someone that spends all day long at work using the numpad for numbers, I just can not seem to train myself to stop using it when MUDding.
Is there ANY way to make the number pad output numbers normally in zMUD instead of having it output the cardinal NSEW directions? |

Go to the settings editor, expand the system class/folder, there you will see the KeypadDiag folder/class. Right click this and uncheck enabled. That should allow you to use the number pad as you are wanting. Have fun:)
edit: sorry it's not KeypadDiag it's the Keypad class. |

Oh and you can turn off auto numlock in the general preferences... under user interface... this stops it automatically turning on numlock when zmud starts

The only folders I see there say Pueblo. That's it. |

Tried it, and it still inputs the cardinal directions when I use the numpad. |

You have to turn off the Keypad as well as the KeypadDiag classes. There are both inheritted classes so you may have to adjust the view settings in the Show menu. Then select the System class from the class panel. In the settings panel select the Keypad class. In the Edit window you should check the box 'Remove this inherrited class'. Click the Edit windows Save button. Repeat with KeypadDiag.

Well, when I go into the "Show" menu, and select "classes", I get nothing but one folder that says Pueblo.
If I select "all" it gives me only my aliases and triggers, and the one Pueblo menu.
There is a pull down menu with "show" on it. If I select "KeypadDiag" and click, it shows me nothing. Same with the "Keypad" option. Both come up with zip when selected. |

Launch zMud
Right-click on your character in the Character Database window
Slide the mouse pointer down within the context menu to "Offline"
Left-Click on "Offline"
Wait for your character to finish loading
Press CTRL-G to open the Settings Editor
Within the Settings Editor left-click on the "View" in the menu bar
Move the mouse pointer down to "Show Inheritted"
If there is not a check mark there left-click on the "Show Inheritted" other wise left-click on an inactive region in the Settings Editor window
....blah...blah...blah
Use your own brain to work with my shorthand directions from my previous post, because it is far to much typing for me to make it so you don't have to think for yourself. |
