problem with long commands |
i have quite a weird problem.. when i send more than 20 commands at a time (e.g. with an alias or a #loop function) to the mud, only the first command is executed and then zmud loses the connection to the mud.
during the time zmud takes to notice the timeout (10 secs i think) i still receive messages from the mud but i cannot send any further commands.
zmud is freshly installed so i use the standard configuration...
i use zmud v7.05 on windows xp...
any idea, anybody? |

I think your mud does not allow the stack of commands to it. Might have a delay between each command sent to it, to avoid flood.
Check that inside the mud then you can add an alarm or the use of the never liked #WAIT for loops |

it's not a problem on the mud side... i've talked with a lot of people and they could all use the #loop without a problem. the spam protection is turned off... any other idea?

Does it make any difference if it's a loop or entered manually?
If you can enter 20 in a row on the command line and it's okay, but disconnects you when using an alias or a loop then I'd look at the alias or loop. |

If you are using a broadband connection drivien through an ethernet card then I would suggest checking for updated drivers for that card. It was a known issue with XP at earliest, but hasn't been seen that much anymore. If that describes your situation then give it a go.

I've had similar problems, on a DSL wireless connection. Is there much interference within the area, if on a wireless router?
