Odd error 4.62 is giving... |
Okay...I've tried everything I can think of to fix this, but to no avail. Yes, I know I should just upgrade to 7.05, but this little problem has me so frustrated that I want to see it fixed, else I will never be satisfied. Anyway, here's what happens. ZMud loads just fine, everything appears to be intact. I open the Char. Database, and choose the MUD I want to connect to. It opens the window, but doesn't get much farther. In that little area at the bottom of the window it displays this message:
zSock error 2:10022
And that's it. No connection. It does this with any MUD I try. It's definitely not a firewall problem, I thoroughy scoured mine and found nothing that would conflict. So, anyone have any ideas as to why it's doing this? |

Also I should add that I've been running this version for quite some time before this happened, and it's never caused any problems up until now. And the other reason I choose not to upgrade to 7.05...I tried it, liked it, but I don't think my firewall did. Somehow it's conflicting with it, and it generates weird lag-spikes approximately every 10 minutes, and obviously this greatly hampered my MUD experience.
And another note. I just tried this with 3.62, out of sheer curiosity, and it did the exact same thing. And that was with a completely fresh download, not 20 seconds after extracting the file. |

It is a firewall problem. Turn it off and test zmud connection. :)
