Lost connection problem? |
Hello
Recently my connection at work and at home goes bad and I'm quite often loose connection with mud. But connection loose is for few seconds(10-15).
The worst is that when that happens zMud doesn't get any mud's output until I will make #CON command (it connects than immediatelly).
While zMud hangs I can freely (after connection is again avaible) connect to mud via telnet.
What is going on with this?

ZMud, like all MUD clients and similar applications, does not maintain a dedicated socket connection like web browsers do. Therefore, if the connection fails for whatever reason ZMud won't ever know until it tries to send something

I know about this. zMud and other clients makes one connection and keep it for all the time. But sending something to mud (any mud's command) while output hangs doesn't make zMud to recognize that connection is invalid and reconnect... it look like all TCP packages goes to ... '/dev/null' ;-)
