Hi All,
I thought if anyone is going to know the answer to this one it would be my fellow mudders.. :) basically, I want to connect to a mud from a different ip address than my normal ISP. One solution is getting a new ISP, but a better option would be telneting to another computer and then connecting to the mud - does anyone know of any companies that offer this kind of service? Perhaps its possible to connect to a friends pc? Would I still be able to use zMUD if I did this? I hope someone out there can answer this for me.

For $36, you can get a lifetime membership to sdf.lonestar.org which gives you a unix shell and the ability to telnet out to wherever you want as well as some other nifty features.

Well what I want to know is why would you need a different IP?
So forgive me if this seems wrong but the only two options I can thing of are
1. To Cheat, Multiplay, Get past a Ban, Create more chars etc etc
2. This should be the reason for needing to do this but I am not gonna say what it is cause it would be your exscuse even if it wasn't :P |
