lack of memory causing alias, paths and stuff to not work |
my problem is that when I try to click on a specific path or macro or alias which then pop ups a small window for editing these things... nothing happens. when it first started to happen, I would close all other programs and windows... and it started to work again.. after a while.. closing all other progams and windows and even shutting down hidden processes didn't even help. I remove zmud and reinstalled it and still the same. if it worked before after fixing a memory problem, why not now? I run zmud 7.05... the new one... I got windows NT 2000, 256 ram and 1.8 gig processor. please reply with any ideas on how to fix this problem

Have you tried increasing the size of your paging file?
A google for "paging file NT" should give you instructions if you need them. |

Your system should have plenty of memory for zMUD. I don't think that is the problem. Try deleting the ZMUD.INI and SETTINGS.DOK file to restore the default layout of the settings editor. It might also be a problem with a corrupted settings file causing your settings in memory to get messed up. Go to the Support Library and into the Migration Guide for instructions on importing your settings into a clean file.

tried the process for corrupted settings file.. problem still persist, no changes. As for the zmud.ini and settings.dok.. I could not find either file anywhere, even when doing a system search for them specifically.. any ideas?
