Zmud work with Proxy?

I have a general telnet question. At work we are behind a proxy to access the Internet. So for example, in my I.E. browser, I have to go into Tools -> Options -> Connections Tab -> Lan Settings. Then from there I enter in the proxy and IE works fine.
Same thing for IM programs like A.I.M. I go into connections and and put in a proxy there and it works fine.
Now the problem is, I can't get telnet or Zmud to work because of this proxy. Was wondering if there was a way to enter in proxy information into telnet or zmud so I can access it. The way it works now, the Telnet window just opens and closes.
