the fonts are are included with : %char(191) are breaking |
I am using 2byte character.
I do know that zMUD does not support 2Byte Lanuage.
However, I am using zMUD without any problems.
But, the fonts are broken that have ascii number 191
For example: #echo %char(186)%char(184)
By doing that way, I am able to see 2Byte language/fonts in Korean
But, if I use this way: #echo %char(191)%char(239), fonts do break. |

Vijilante,
I don't not know why you locked my post regarding the same issure, which has never been discussed again since this one.
It has been fixed in CMUD, but still a bug in zMud, so I posted here just for the record.
If you think bug shouldn't been brought up in forum, I can understand. |

Thats probably why it was locked. The initial post of you reporting it is great. But just for your info.
1. ZMud isnt being 'Overly supported' is my understanding with the development of CMUD underway.
2. ZMud doesnt support what is being done in a 2 Byte Language
3. Its fixed in CMud
With those 3 combined theres almost no reason to discuss the issue. That would be my interpretation of why. |

As I said I only post it here for the completeness sake, a record for knowing bug in zMud.
zMud as a product at its final stage, I never expect a fix or discussion on it.
If anything related to zMud should not be posted, why bother keeping this forum open at all?
The original post in this thread requires a korean language windows, so I rewrite it to be reproducible on any platform. |

I think the reason Vijilante locked it is because this isn't a bug. The lack of 2Byte language support is a known limitation in zMUD. It's not a bug, it's a known issue that isn't supposed to work. Even if someone figured out a workaround for char 191, then you would also discover that the trigger system and other parts of zMUD also don't work.
It's not even necessarily fixed in CMUD yet. I have plans to support multi-byte in CMUD, but I have not implemented those plans yet.
The forum Gurus/moderators are volunteers. They can decide to lock a topic if it's something that has already been discussed a lot in the past, or if there is no need to discuss a topic further. |
