Help with Zmud

Hello,

I just downloaded zmud into my laptop however I had to uninstall it. The reason for this is that when installed Zmud seems to have a problem with my keyboard. The 4 number is on the same button as U and when installed and I try to type U it comes out as 4 instead and I can't change it. Please help me fix this as I would like to use zmud to play my games.
Thank you Crying or Very sad

Aryen

You'll have to turn Keypad off with the "Bloq Num" key in your keyboard, or whatever its called, I had the same problem using it on laptops, that helped, and swtiched the common keypad travelling to ctrl+arrow movement.

make sure its off when using it, that will keep you from pressing "u" and getting "4". I think Zmud turns it automatically on for travelling reasons, with the keypad being a default movement option, bu if you turn keypad off you wont have trouble with it.

The n40bers are st533 352e th5s. <--- that's what happens when I have zmud installed. Just pressing that numlock button didn't work I'm afraid -cry- Not only does it use the numbers on zmud but when I type anywhere :(

There is another key combo you should be pressing... like "Fn+Keypad" which turns off that feature on your laptop keyboard. It will be one of the laptop specific function key combinations in order to do this, but they vary between laptop manufacturers.

[edit]
If the keypad is activated, then it will effect every application on your laptop until it is turned off... this is a hardware problem. If you can, take a picture of your laptop keyboard and we can give you more specific directions, otherwise we're guessing at what your specific laptop has for function combo keys.

well I don't have a digital camera.

This picture shows what it looks like. The buttons at the top right are: PrtSc/sysrq, numlk/scrlk, pause/break, insert, home, pgup, delete, end, pgdn.

/ indicates they are on the same button.
There is an Fn button on the bottom left hand corner and a light at the top lights up when the numlk button is pressed.

According to IBM's website:
Quote:
To disable the numeric keypad, press and hold Shift; then press NumLk.
