aliases, triggers, macros

hi, i would like help with one of the settings on my zmud, somehow it changed from when i'd make a trigger, alias, variable or macro i'd have a window to enter the value for what i wanted it to do, however, now when i click on any of the above to make a new one or view/edit old ones, all i have is a list of them and details to the right, i can still make them, but i can't see what i'm typing when i edit them, it's rather difficult and a pain. for the life of me i can't figure out how i did this, and how to switch it back to where i can see what the heck i'm doing. any help on this would be much appreciated. thanks dradbell

Close zMUD.
Go to your zMUD directory and find the zmud.ini file.
MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF zmud.ini
Right-click on the zmud.ini file and Open it, using Notepad.
Find the [Settings] section.
Find the Dockable value, set it to 1.
Find the Docked value, set it to 1.
Save, and close Notepad.
Open zMUD.
Open a blank window by pressing the ESC key.
Click the Triggers button and see if your problem is fixed.

If the problem remains, or a new one appears, delete the new zmud.ini and replace it from the backup.

Not that any of Lightbulb's expert advice needs adding to, but, if I understand what you're describing, from experience it is possible that you undocked the Edit Window from the Settings Editor and it's behind/underneath zMUD's User Interface. Did you move/minimize/rollup the interface to see if the Edit Window was undocked? Or, the "bar" that separates the Edit Window and the Settings Editor may have been dragged to the bottom/edge effectively hiding the Edit Window from view. ::shrug:: just sharing things that I've done to it in the past.
