Not sure if this has already been reported

I'm not sure if this has already been reported, but when you click on the username of the person who posted a reply, it attempts to add that name as an emoticon as part of your message.
Also, great work on implementing the new boards so swiftly. Thanks Darker and Zugg!

That's actually a rather neat feature of the forums, allowing for easy referencing for those mouse users who like clicking on things. Wink

Wouldn't it be better to point that link to the users profile than bolden the users name in a message? You have to go through several other pages to access their profile, otherwise.

I agree, this seems un-inututive to me too.

A linked name will normally open an eMail client with the address filled in (but seeing that eMail addresses are mostly a secret here, that's out) or give details on the name - the Profile.

I couldn't tell you the last time (perhaps there's not even a first time) when I typed a userName into a note on any Board...

For the user's profile, click the Profile button at the bottom of their post. For their email, if available, click the Email button.

Sorry, it's something that is part of the "quick reply" MOD for the forum. The authors consider it a feature. Since Lightbulb mentioned the other ways to get the profile, email, etc, it's not something I plan to fix since I don't really like going and changing the code of someone elses MOD. It's just one of those "learning curve" things for the new forum I'm afraid.
