Problems with Saving Settings

I have recently upgraded zMud to the newest version, and I have never had any problems with zMud in the past. I run on Windows XP, and a fairly fast computer, but everytime that I go to leave zMud, or alter and save my settings zMud freezes and becomes "Not Responding" Windows XP then has to shut it down. My settings have not changed from 2 weeks ago, when everything was going normally, and it gets rather annoying if need to add to the settings. What should I do to stop this? Do you think that it has to do with memory, or another program interfering? I honestly have no clue myself, thank you.

Seems like your settings might be corrupted. Try the steps described in the Migration Guide to uncorrupt them.
