auto login with ver. 6.62

created a new character on a new mud, so when option to put in name/password for autologin came up automatically, i declined.

question is, now that my character is established, is there a way to make zmud put up that screen again that asks for my name/password so it will setup autologin? if not, what are the steps to put in the info manually? a friend and i are trying to figure it out, but so far no luck.

thanks! Very Happy

You may be able to get the Autolog wizard back by setting both the Name and Password blank. This is done in the character record, on the Character tab, which is found using the Edit button from the character selection screen.

To put in the info manually, you also go to the Character tab and make sure you have the correct name and password entered. The password is displayed as *'s, so the only way to be sure it's correct is to re-enter it.
Once that's done, Connect to your MUD and login so you can get the exact text of the login questions. You should also test your Name and Password entries by using #CH to enter your name and #PW to enter your password. Using your normal MUD command, quit. If you have Autoreconnect enabled, select Offline from the window that comes up.
Using the mouse, highlight the entire line which asks for your character name (but don't highlight your answer).
Open the settings editor with the Triggers button. Select Autolog as the active folder.
Click the New button to create a new trigger.
Use CTRL-V to paste the name question as the Pattern. This will probably include a trailing space.
For the Value, put #CH.
Switch to the Options tab, enable the following options, and disable all others:
Case Sensitive
Verbatim
Trigger on Trigger
Prompt
Go back to the Pattern tab and Save. Close the editor window.

Use the mouse to highlight the Password question.
Reopen the settings editor using the Triggers button.
Autolog should still be the active folder, if not select it.
Create another New trigger.
Paste the password question into the Value using CTRL-V.
For the value, put:
#PW
#T- Autolog
Set the options the same as the Name trigger.
Save and close editor.

Type #CONNECT to reconnect to your MUD. Allow the triggers to login and see if they work.
