stop command sequence in progress

I have triggers, aliases, and buttons that have a sequence like
do something
#WA 10000
do something else
#WA 10000
do third something

some are longer than this. I almost never want to stop them, but on occasion I do. I'd like to, in fact, add a clearing of these commands as a macro...

The old printable manual states that a new #WA command will wipe out any others happening and wipe the command queue. I have _not_ found this to be the case. Is there any alternative that does work?

(I'm using the latest and betaist)
