My office uses an http proxy and I can't really connect
to zmud. Does zmud support connections using http proxies ?

If so what is the procedure. Thanks :)

Forgot to mention that I can't use zmud 6 + versions
They only work at home...sigh..would make my life so much easier
if 6.xx versions worked everywhere !

So I was hoping there is a way to use http proxies
in zmud 5.55 or older

Go to Preferences window, and open Connection. Set up your proxy information in there, under Proxy Firewall.

I have the same problem as well. I'm sitting here and I can't find a way to connect through my http proxy.

There's no support for it in the Preferences window, either. The WWW proxy (same as http?) doesn't leave a space for a user name and password if someone were to connect, nor does it even have a little bubble next to it to allow someone to select it.

You can't use an http proxy to connect to a mud. The http proxy won't allow the correct type of connection.

I just heard that there are some sort of software that can connect things like icq or msn
through http proxies, anyone know anything of that sort ???

WinGate is probably the most widely known windows app. Think it costs money tho. Just check it out. It'll give you a general idea of what you need to do.
