About two days ago the buttons on my taskbar for triggers, aliases, and paths stopped working. I clicked on them and just one path would open to edit, no aliases, no triggers. Then the next day nothing even happened when I clicked on them. I've downloaded again and reinstalled, done every maintenance I could think of on my computer but they still don't work. Have I inadvertantly changed a setting of some sort?

It sounds like you may have messed up the global.mud file. It would probably be best to reinstall zMUD. Be sure to make a backup of the entire zMUD directory and all its subdirectories and unlicense zMUD first. To ensure global.mud gets replaced, you may need to delete it.
